Western or English?
Having a limited number of campers, (13 total), and plenty of well-qualified staff allows us to offer instruction to a broad range of skill levels in a wide variety of both Western and English disciplines. Campers may choose instruction in a specific class or event that they compete in or a style that they ride in recreationally, or they may try more than one type of riding during their stay at camp. Campers may indicate their preferences on their applications, and this will be taken into consideration when we choose the appropriate horse or horses for each of them. Campers bringing their own horses may do the same, taking into account their own horse's abilities, characteristics, and level of training.
Western Instruction
Western instruction options include recreational or competitive Trail, Western Horsemanship, Reining, and speed events including Barrel Racing and Pole Bending. Advanced riders may also take classes in bridleless riding.

English Instruction
|
Our English instruction options include Hunt Seat flat work, Dressage through those movements require for Level 3, English Equitation, Hunter and Jumper classes to 3'3", and Beginner Novice level Eventing. Not every horse does every discipline, so it is important that campers describe their riding skill level and preferences accurately in their applications in order for us to plan appropriately for the riders in each session.
If you are not sure what classes you'd like to take, that's OK! You can just ride for the enjoyment of it, or call Dianne with questions at
